Our mission is:

to create connection between community, culture, and land.

White Feather Farm NY (WFF) is 66-acre nonprofit organic farm, education and innovation hub located on Mohican and Munsee Lenape land in the Hudson Valley. We aim to steward and protect these lands by creating a holistic connection between community, culture, and land. We do this by empowering people of all ages to come together to share intergenerational knowledge through hands-on science-based education programs and public workshops geared to demystify sustainable agricultural practices with the community of the Hudson Valley and beyond. Our lands are intentionally and reverently tended.

WFF accomplishes this by facilitating educational programming about sustainable farming and other food production, distribution and consumption techniques  and practices that reduce climate change and create healthy soil and a vibrant ecosystem.

We focus on innovations in soil regeneration, cultivating biodiversity, and sequestering atmospheric carbon and share this knowledge with local partners and small farm community. We showcase local talent, artists, writers and experts; cultivate heirloom plants and native species and provide food security for members of our community in need.

We believe that there are ways to farm that accomplish more than simply growing and selling food, and there are ways of creating that go far beyond just making and selling work.

Our deeper impact and innovation will come through creating an organization that seeks crucial opportunities to connect and build with people of vastly diverse lived experiences. We also acknowledge that in these spaces there are many voices that have been systematically marginalized. Our approach is to seek out and support these voices and offer access to our resources.
