Ms. Tucker Will See You Now

Ms. Tucker Will See You Now, a cabaret written and performed by Laural Meade - presented by Theoria Foundation

This sparkling and bawdy cabaret combines the pizzazz of Sophie Tucker's risque song catalog with personal revelations and audience interaction. Drawing on the extraordinary life and career of one of the 20th Century's greatest entertainers (known as The Last of the Red Hot Mamas), Meade channels the energy that made jazz great Tucker the most sought-after nightclub entertainer of her day. Ms. Tucker Will See You Now is a rollicking, timely and moving look at an unlikely feminist icon, and the sacrifices she made to become a sexually liberated woman and great artist. Presented with The Secret City.
