The Seagull: A Rehearsal

Join White Feather Farm for its upcoming production of The Seagull, by Anton Chekhov. The Seagull is the story of love and longing, life and death, ego and artistry set in the pastoral landscape of the Russian countryside. This staged reading, a chance to share space with artists in process.
Donations for the performances support White Feather Farm's food access initiatives to support food donations to Good Neighbor of Woodstock.

is a writer, choreographer and performer. Their performances, which have been called "so extreme that they sometimes look and feel like exorcisms" (The New Yorker), interrogate and indict psychological and socio-political issues, particularly in the realms of gender, sexual orientation, and power struggles. Weaponizing spectacle and stark naturalism, character and self, humor and horror, their performance practice is rooted in the shattering effects of trauma, and the various selves that arise and haunt the individual from that shattering. Their work has been presented throughout New York City, domestically, and internationally. Their 16th full-length performance work, My Town, a queering of Thornton Wilder's Our Town, will be at NYU Skirball November 21rst and 22nd of 2025. Ferver teaches at Bard College. jackferver.com

Julia is a multidisciplinary artist and performer based in Hudson, NY. She discovered the joys of improv comedy in Austin, TX where she took to the stage, moving on to continue performing at comedy theaters in Los Angeles, CA. Through playful performances she has us rooting for dumb but loveable characters in absurd but grounded scenes. She now toggles her creative expressions between photography, drawing, video, and performance art with the occasional karaoke night thrown in the mix.

She will next be seen in the independent feature Mother Future Self directed by Tori Lancaster and appeared in Maria Schrader's She Said for Universal. Television credits include Apple's WeCrashed opposite Anne Hathaway, HBO's The Gilded Age, Peacock's Girls5Eva and Hulu's RAMY. She is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London.

Owen is a non-binary actor from Wicklow, Ireland. Their most recent credits include Henry IV (TFANA), Drip Feed (Wild Project), Translations (Irish Repertory Theatre, Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Revival), The Wolves (McCarter Theater), Belfast Girls (Irish Rep). Screen: Mutt (Sundance 2023, Berlinale 2023); City On A Hill (Showtime). They have devised and developed new work in collaboration with LaMaMa Etc, Clubbed Thumb, Mercury Store, Working Theatre, and others. They trained at UNCSA, BADA, and received a BFA from SUNY Purchase.

Yvonna was born and raised in Washington DC where she first honed her acting skills in elementary school plays. After graduating from NYU with a BS in Environmental Studies, she came back to her senses and her greatest passion: acting. Yvonna can most recently be seen in the FX limited series CLIPPED, with Ed O'Neill, Laurence Fishburne, and Cleopatra Coleman. Some of her previous credits include Peacock's hit limited series THE BEST MAN: THE FINAL CHAPTERS, DYNASTY, PAUSE WITH SAM JAY, THE FLATBUSH MIDSDEMEANORS, and BULL. In 2021, Yvonna earned a highly coveted spot in the prestigious ABC / Disney Discovers Showcase. She is thoroughly pleased to have recently escaped the city to the Hudson Valley.
