The Bloom Review: Season Wrap Up for Flower Growers

Wednesday, October 22, 2025, 1pm - 3pm

Fee: $18

As the 2025 flower season winds down, it’s time to pause, reflect, and prepare for the year ahead. The Bloom Review brings together growers, florists, and partners across the cut flower supply chain for an afternoon of learning, discussion, and connection.

Hosted at White Feather Farm’s Broken Wing Barn, this workshop blends practical insights into soil health with a collaborative panel conversation -designed to help you carry forward both the lessons and the inspiration from this year into a successful 2026.

Workshop Highlights

Soil Health for Cut Flowers

Begin the afternoon with a presentation from Jingjing Yin, Regional Commercial Horticulture Educator with Capital Area Agriculture and Horticulture Program. Learn research-based, practical strategies for improving soil structure, fertility, and resilience -ensuring healthier crops and stronger blooms in the coming seasons.

Farm Tour

Explore White Feather Farm’s growing spaces and see firsthand how soil health practices are integrated into flower production.

Panel Discussion: Season Wrap Up & Outlook

Hear directly from growers, florists, and others shaping the cut flower journey from seed to bouquet. Panelists include representatives from Hudson Valley Seed Company, Flower Aggregate, and Glenerie Farm. Together, we’ll reflect on customer preferences, challenges, and key takeaways from the season—and look ahead to emerging trends and shared visions for what’s next.

This event offers both practical take-home knowledge and the chance to connect with peers in the flower community.
